My son wore a competitors shoe that we all know and he loves the Marines better. I love them because they have a better grip sole and the support for the arch of the foot is much better. I have a pair also and I like the adjustable stap it make the shoe fit better. Would definitely recommend these shoes. Lisa

I bought a pair of Starfish and wore them occaisonally until I sustained an injury to my right ankle.I am on the tennis team at my school, and unfortuantely am not currently able to play. I was forced to sit out of a tennis tournament recently but still required to come. I thought I would be miserable, and my ankle would be killing. That morning I decided to wear my white starfish shoes since they matched and they were comfortable..but by the end of the day I loved them!They were very supportive and comfortable not to mention cute. I recommend these shoes for anyone (with or without ankle problems)!:)
